Treestep tackles a problem most trackers ignore: beginners who lose the habit of investing. It's a French web app that turns the habit into a role-playing game, with XP, badges and levels from Seed to Myth for journaling and finishing quests, plus 80+ guides and community guilds on Discord. The tracking itself is simple. You pick positions from a fixed list of about 70 ETFs, stocks and cryptos and enter them by hand, and an AI Portfolio Coach flags overlapping ETFs and sector concentration. Dividends aren't tracked, the return method isn't documented and there's no comparison with an index. The Explorer plan is free with no card. Forest Guardian costs €9.99 a month, or €6.67 a month paid yearly.
