Stock Rover (Massachusetts, since 2008) is the depth end of North American screening: 800+ fundamental and technical metrics with ten years of history, freeform screening equations, 150+ prebuilt strategies including models based on Buffett, Lynch and Greenblatt, academic scores like Piotroski and Altman, proprietary 0–100 Growth/Value/Quality/Sentiment ratings, and a built-in DCF fair value with margin of safety. It runs in the browser only — there is no native mobile app — and covers seven US and Canadian exchanges with nothing beyond North America. Four paid tiers run $29 to $149 per month billed annually, and capability climbs steeply across them: custom metrics start at Premium Plus, screening equations and historical as-of-date screening at Ultimate. A permanent free plan exists but contains no screening at all. There is no dedicated backtest engine — the vendor says so plainly — though historical equation screening covers part of that ground.
